Dear Sylvan Families,

As you know, due to COVID-19, Sylvan schools will be closed until April 5, 2020. In the event that closures are extended, we will update you as soon as possible. As a result of these unprecedented times, Sylvan District staff is working to develop plans for distance learning options.

Phase I of our plan includes a variety of online educational resources and activities for students and families to access during Spring Break. These optional resources can be accessed by clicking here. For those families without internet access, we have also included several options for free or low-cost internet access during the COVID-19 crisis. You can access this information by clicking here and scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Phase II of our plan includes practice exercises and review of skills that have been previously taught in the classroom. Details regarding this phase will be communicated to families prior to April 1st. This communication will include information on how students and families can access these ungraded and optional practice exercises in both digital and printed, hard-copy packets.

We will continue to make every effort to communicate and update information in a timely fashion. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together through this difficult and uncertain time. We encourage you to follow state recommendations to ensure the safety and wellness of your family.
